Blog objective

The main objective of this blog is to celebrate the works done by the Year 1 (2013 batch) students of the School of Science and Technology, Singapore (SST). These were done as part of their Outdoor Furniture (RE)Design project in the Art, Design, Media and Technology (ADMT) subject area.

These works are the deliverables of the students' efforts in their reimagining of an outdoor furniture, using the Design Thinking protocol. Though the primary aim is to redefine the experiences of using current outdoor furniture, in whatever relevant contexts of their choosing, elements of innovation, advertising and media literacy were also included to give students a holistic approach to the idea of Applied Learning and Design Thinking.

It is hoped that through these learning experiences, students would be able to have an enriching collaborative learning experience, coupled with ICT-enabled pedagogies. These includes developing interviewing skills, sketching skills and ideation methods.

So do take some time to look through the artefacts reimagined creatively by the students from the various classes.
